John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids is one of the oldest zoo in the world. It was built by John Ball at late 1700's.
Grand Rapids city sold the John Ball Zoo to the Kent county for $1 dollar in the late 1970's.
Hitchhiking is not allow in U.S. high way. But as long as you do it not beyond the signs on the On-ramp or the Off-ramp that read, "No Slow Vehicle", you are OK.
