The shell must break before the bird can fly. (not mine, but not sure who)
Hard work is mandatory for success. So is optimism, the ability to find opportunity. Intelligence is optional.
It is important to have at least one person in your life whom you are insanely proud of.
Love is everywhere. Really. (probably because God is everywhere.)
Cliche but true:
We are here to do 2 things: Love God and love people.
The rest is just details.
